Our grants don’t help just one nonprofit or area of need.
Rather, we help a variety of organizations across the nonprofit sector.
For example, here is the impact of our Lake County, Illinois chapter:
“Giving Circle members give more money and time, give more strategically, and are more engaged in civic and political activities compared to donors not in giving circles.”

Community Purse Giving Circles are:
A large impactful grant is created during our short 1-hour meetings.
Giving circles help small donors become philanthropists and to experience the joy of generosity.
Every member at the meeting has a vote on where the money goes.
Fun & Social
Our meetings are a great way to meet like-hearted women and to socialize with a purpose.
Members hear from 12 nonprofits each year and become more informed about the communities they live in.
Members are able to multiply an individual donation into a much larger grant by pooling donations together. Our giving circles inspire women to be more generous.
Our members create the list of nonprofits for each giving circle. Some members go on to volunteer with or give in-kind gifts to the nonprofits.
